Meow 29 / Abigail Brown

Abigail Brown is a textile artist and illustrator based in London. She makes beautiful creatures from different coloured and patterned fabrics, she creates lovely illustrations, too. You can see more of her work on her website and she also sells her work on her online shop. The adorable fluffy cat pictured above is her friend's cat called Lulu.

Meow 28 / Vivienne Strauss

Vivienne Strauss is an artist living in Portland with her husband Matte Stephens (whom we featured back in July). She paints these amazingly beautiful stories of people, dogs and of course cats! It was so hard to chose which pictures to show, so you must promise to check out her blog and Etsy shop.
Her own cats are called Simon, Krasner, Lillian and Irving. I have a soft spot for Irving, not just because of his eye, but he also looks just like my late cat Elvis.

Meow 27 / Allison Cole

Allison Cole is an illustrator based in Providence, Rhode Island in the US. I love her illustrations, use of colour and patterns, you can see more of her wonderful work on her website. She has a fantastic online store online store called Bang Bang You're Thread where you can buy lots of her art and illustrated goodies. Allison's gorgeous cats are called Mister T and Cleo, Mister T is the tuxedo cat and Cleo is the tortoiseshell. They love to help as well as cause trouble while Allison works, evident in the pictures above! They especially like to cause trouble when she has an illustration deadline.

Meow 26 / Jamie Shelman

I am so pleased to have come across Jamie Shelman's very lovely cat drawings. Jamie lives on Martha's Vineyard, MA with her husband and fellow artist Thomas D Meyer. Jamie graduated from Rhode Island School of Design and describes herself as a painter, artist and cat fancier. She is currently working on her first children's book.
Her beautiful ginger cat is called Miss Mave who likes to play hide and seek. You can see more of Jamie's work on her website and you can buy her cat drawings form her etsy shop 'The Dancing Cat'.

Kate Hindley is a wonderful illustrator living in Worcestershire, UK. I love her illustrations and the characters she creates. Kate works using ink and pencil and then adds colour and collage digitally.

Kristin Oftedal is an illustrator based in Oslo, Norway. I love her beautiful and atmospheric drawings. Kristin works for publishing and editorial clients and has just finished illustrating a children's book for Macmillan.

It has been lovely to discover Kate Slater's work, she works in collage and paper cut outs which are suspended to create relief illustrations. I love her characters and sense of atmosphere in the worlds she creates. You can buy prints and cards from her etsy shop.

Meow 21 / Moira Millman

Moira Millman is a brilliant illustrator based in Cambridgeshire, UK. I love her beautiful and decorative illustrations. Moira produces images for a wide range of clients in advertising, publishing and editorial and has been working as an illustrator since graduating from the Kent Institute of Art in 1992. You can see more of her work on her website. Her gorgeous cat is called Alf. Alf was rescued by the RSPCA from a room in which he used to live with loads of cats. He now lives happily with Moira and his favorite thing to do is eat!

I'm so happy that I discovered Jennifer Davis' work! She creates beautiful paintings with unique characters & colour palette. Her big black cat is called Nudge, he can do tricks such as shake and high five and apparently loves to hang out in the basin (I love his chilled-out expression). You can also find her blog here. Meow 18 / Sophie Dupasquier

Sophie Dupasquier is a wonderful illustrator and designer based in Brighton, UK. I love her quirky illustrations of cats. She produced the patterns above for her agent Juna Studio and they were recently shown at Printsource in New York.
Sophie also designs work for a children's wear company called CurlyKale, where you can check out a lovely cat bag she designed. Sophie lived with the cat above called Bubble last year, Bubble enjoys chasing her own tail.
